Last Monday I attended a Tokyo High School Karate Federation (Kotairen) official's seminar explaining the changes in the WKF rules. From this autumn the Kotairen will begin using them.The seminar was led by Mr. Tomonori Namiki Sensei, who is a WKF Referee, Chair of the AKF Referee Council and Secretary-General of the Gojukai. Recently I have attended several of Namiki Sensei's seminars and he has been an excellent instructor, very kind and matter of fact.
He explained clearly that the 10 cm rule for Cadets and Juniors starts at zero on the face mask and moves out from there. Any movement or impact of the head warrants a penalty. So the emphasis on control is even more important.
月曜日に、東京都高等学校体育連盟空手道部専門部の審判研修会に参加し、新ルールを説明を聞きました。今年の秋から新ルールが採用されます。
並木知徳先生（ＷＫＦ審判、ＡＫＦ審判会理事、ＪＫＦ剛柔会本部事務局長）が研修会の指揮をとられました。ここ最近並木先生のセミナーにいくつか参加していますが、すばらしい指導者で、とても優しく率直な方だと思います。
カデット＆ジュニアの新ルールである１０センチルールは、得点とされる距離がメンホーの前から１０センチになります。頭部への接触は反則です。ですから、コントロールに重点を置くことがより重要になりますね。
