Shiramizu Taikai 2008 白水大会Last September the Kanto Kotairen (high school karate student association for the Kanto region) held an official's course and testing. I attended and received a B rank. One thing the examiners said in a pre-test speech was being an official meant one must study a new karate style, a new ryuha, and this one is called Shinpan-ryu (Official's style)!
But coaching also requires a person to study how-to-coach on an ongoing basis, so one could also say there is Coaching-Ryu perhaps!
去年の９月、関東高体連主催の昇級・昇段審査会と審判の講習会が開かれ、僕も参加し、Bランクに合格しました。審査の前のスピーチで審査員がおっしゃっていたことのひとつに、このようなことがありました。「審査員でいるということは、別の流派の空手を学ぶことを意味していて、それを『審判流』というんですよ！」と。
それならば、指導する（コーチする）ということもまた進行形で指導法を学ぶことが必要とされる訳ですから、こちらは「コーチング流」と言えますよね。
